The Challenge - Redesign sell sheets, white papers and a brand guide for medical science industry client.
The Process - LabConnect is a global, centralized lab facility that specializes in sample and data management for complex clinical trials, as well as routine testing, to advance patient treatment through science. I began by working with the marketing director and analyzing the current assets and looking at the competition in the industry space. One issue was that the previous materials were bulky, dated and lacked clear hierarchy. Using the company’s circular shape as a visual cue, I developed a labeling system for the categories of materials. The categories of materials were further visually categorized with color blocking in blue, black, red and grey. An easy to follow two column grid was implemented with ample white space. New stock photography was sourced to show diversity in clients, patients and employees.
After the design system for the marketing materials were flushed out, we set out to create a style guide for all LabConnect collateral. The guide includes graphic standards and language for photography, typography, color, merchandising, signage and more.
The Result - A graphic system that reflects the breadth of service and position of an industry-leading lab technology company.
